Dwell Church Dwell Church

Brandon Henson

In the summer of 2008, while serving on a mission trip in Atlanta, Brandon surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. In the months that followed, God began stirring a clear call to pastoral ministry.

Over the next several years Brandon served in student ministry, worship ministry, and associate pastor roles across South Carolina and Georgia. He earned his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2017.

In 2022 Brandon planted Anchor Church in the Augusta area, which launched with a team of 40 and grew to over 120 in weekly attendance. During that season God used Anchor to see people come to faith, disciples formed, and ministry leaders developed — including church planters who are still serving in the Augusta area today.

After a season of rest and discernment, God made one thing clear: planting new and healthy churches in the Augusta area remained central to the Hensons’ calling. Dwell Church is the outworking of that conviction.

Brandon is currently supported and held accountable by the pastors of Dwell Church’s sending church, who serve temporarily as a team of elders during this launch season.

Brandon currently serves as an elementary music teacher in Columbia County — a role that keeps him deeply connected to the everyday life of the community Dwell is called to reach. He and his wife Tabor live in the Martinez area with their three sons, Asher, Leeland, and Ellis.
