Dwell Church is a new church being planted in the Martinez / Augusta area. We’d love for you to know who we are, what we believe, and why we exist.
Who We Are
Dwell Deep. Live Sent.
Mission: Dwell Church exists to form disciples who dwell with God, one another, and live sent for the spread of the gospel.
Vision: We envision a multiplying movement of disciples — so formed by God’s presence and moved by His mission — that new churches are continually planted.
Where did we get the name “Dwell”?
The word dwell runs through the entire story of Scripture. From Eden, where God walked with humanity in unbroken fellowship, to the tabernacle and temple, to Christ himself — who became flesh and dwelt among us — to the Church, which is now God’s dwelling place by His Spirit, to the new creation, where His dwelling will be fully and finally restored with His people forever.
We chose the name Dwell because it captures what we believe the Church is meant to be — a people who dwell with God, dwell with one another, and live sent from that place of abiding.
Our Core Values
Presence Over Performance — We pursue the presence of God above religious activity. Worship is engaging and rooted in Scripture. We value prayer, spiritual disciplines, and communion with Christ as central to the life of the church.
Every Member a Missionary — Every believer’s purpose is to embody the Great Commission. We desire to equip each disciple to live their life on the mission Jesus gave us.
Formed by the Word — We are shaped by Scripture over culture. Text-driven preaching, theological depth, and lifelong sanctification are central to our discipleship.
Leaders Raising Leaders — We intentionally develop leaders who develop others. Leadership is cultivated through discipleship, apprenticeship, and responsibility. Multiplication of leaders and church planters is a natural outcome of a healthy church.
Our Yes Is On The Table — Before God clarifies His will and direction, He has our yes. We live open-handed before God. Our time, homes, gifts, and resources are available for His purposes.
Sent People Send People — We live sent lives and plant sent churches. Evangelism and multiplication are normal parts of our church life.
