Baptism

Baptism is one of the most significant steps a follower of Jesus takes — a public declaration that you have died to your old self and been raised to new life in Christ.

At Dwell Church, we practice believer’s baptism by immersion. This means baptism is for those who have personally trusted in Jesus Christ for salvation — not as a means of salvation, but as a public expression of it.

If you have trusted Christ and haven’t been baptized: We would love to talk with you about taking that step. Baptism isn’t something to delay — it’s an act of obedience and a declaration of faith that belongs early in the Christian life.

If you were baptized as an infant: We honor the faith of families who dedicated their children to the Lord. But we believe the New Testament pattern is baptism for those who have personally confessed faith in Christ. If you have never been baptized as a believer, we’d love to have that conversation with you.
